ST505 Ultrasonic Energy Meter with Built In RTD Module and PT100 Temperature Sensor for Precise Energy Consumption Monitoring
ST505 Ultrasonic Energy Meter with Built-In RTD Module and PT100 Temperature Sensor

Integrate into your management system to provide remote measurement services for precise energy consumption monitoring.

Product Overview

ST505 is a high-accuracy ultrasonic energy meter with clamp-on transducers for measuring large pipe diameters, featuring a built-in RTD module. When equipped with a PT100 temperature sensor, the ST505 becomes a complete energy meter for measuring individual energy consumption in liquid heating/cooling systems. The system includes flowmeter and temperature sensors for real-time detection of supply and return pipe temperatures.

This energy meter is widely applicable in HVAC, cooling towers, data centers, energy audits, and various buildings including shopping malls, offices, museums, hospitals, schools, and subways. Also known as a thermal energy meter or heat meter, it accurately measures heat consumption in heating and cooling facilities to achieve energy and cost savings.

The ST505 features a premium aluminum alloy construction with CNC processing, utilizing industry-leading full-sealed iron-absorbing side-opening technology without screw locking, enabling convenient "one-second opening" operation.

Key Benefits
  • Measure actual flow and total consumption of various liquids
  • No process control loss, asset optimization, and no downtime or calibration expenses

Installation Methods
V Method

The "V" method is considered the standard installation method, providing more accurate readings for pipe diameters ranging from 25mm to 400mm (1" ~ 16"). This convenient method requires proper transducer installation at the pipe's centerline with equal spacing on either side.

Z Method

The "Z" method utilizes directly transmitted signals with less attenuation than the "V" method, suitable for pipe diameters from 100mm to 3000mm (4"~120").

Z Method Installation Diagram for Ultrasonic Energy Meter
N Method

With the "N" method, sound waves transverse the fluid twice and bounce three times off pipe walls, extending transit distance for improved accuracy in small pipe diameter measurements.

W Method

The "W" method further extends transit distance with sound waves transverse the fluid four times, suitable for very small pipes (diameter less than 50mm/2").
