Product Description

ST505 Ultrasonic flow meter uses reliable digital signal processing technology, transmitting flow measurement for a wide range of liquids and pipe sizes with high accuracy and reliability. Combined with outstanding performance transducers and higher industrial level materials, Flo-Instruments ensures long-term operation without concerns.

Clear menu display selections make instrument use very convenient. Clamp-on transducers provide flexibility across a wide range of applications.

Based on Transit-Time technology, the ST505 offers high measurement accuracy. Using clamp-on transducers, it collects flow data by clamping onto the outside of the pipe, never contacting the fluid, preventing liquid pollution, pressure reduction, or leakage.

Installation Methods
V Method

The "V" method is considered the standard method. It usually provides more accurate readings and is used on pipe diameters ranging from 25mm to 400mm (1" ~ 16") approximately. Convenient to use, but requires proper transducer installation at the pipe's centerline with equal spacing on either side.

Z Method

The "Z" method installation has less signal attenuation than the "V" method because it utilizes a directly transmitted signal that transverses the liquid only once. Suitable for pipe diameters ranging from 100mm to 3000mm (4"~120").

N Method

With the "N" method, sound waves transverse the fluid twice and bounce three times off the pipe walls. Suitable for small pipe diameter measurement. Measurement accuracy can be improved by extending the transit distance (uncommonly used).

N Method Installation Diagram
W Method

Similar to the "N" method, measurement accuracy can be improved by extending the transit distance with the "W" method. Sound waves transverse the fluid four times and bounce four times off the pipe walls. Suitable for very small pipes (diameter less than 50mm/2").
